Privacy policy

This policy applies to the Tracwell website, dashboard, APIs, SDKs, and related services. When a Tracwell customer uses the service to measure activity on their website or application, that customer decides what to collect and is responsible for the notices and consent required by applicable law. Tracwell processes that analytics data on the customer's behalf.

Tracwell may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information, including your name, email address, sign-in method, organization membership, and account settings.
• Billing information, including subscription status, plan, provider identifiers, and transaction references. Payment providers process card and bank details; Tracwell does not store full payment-card details.
• Analytics information sent by customers, such as page URLs, referrers, event names, event properties, timestamps, pseudonymous visitor or user identifiers, coarse country, and normalized device, browser, and operating-system information.
• Service and security information needed to authenticate requests, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain audit records.

Tracwell does not store raw IP addresses in analytics events by default, run active browser fingerprinting, or automatically collect passwords, form values, or page text. An IP address may be processed transiently at the collection edge to derive coarse location and privacy-preserving identifiers, then discarded.

Tracwell's Private collection mode does not use cookies, local storage, or session storage for analytics identity and rotates its privacy-preserving visitor identifier daily. Product collection mode can use persistent anonymous identity and optional customer-supplied user identifiers. Customers must configure consent appropriately for their use and jurisdiction.

The Tracwell dashboard uses essential session storage or cookies to keep account holders signed in and protect authenticated requests.

• Provide, secure, operate, and improve the service.
• Authenticate accounts and manage organizations and access.
• Process analytics events and generate requested reports.
• Manage subscriptions, usage allowances, and customer support.
• Detect abuse, investigate failures, and meet legal obligations.

Tracwell does not sell personal information or use customer analytics data to build advertising profiles.

Tracwell uses service providers for infrastructure, content delivery, authentication, email delivery, analytics storage, and payment processing. These currently include Cloudflare, Google when Google sign-in is selected, Scaleway-hosted infrastructure, and Dodo Payments. They receive only the information needed to provide their service and handle it under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect people or the service from harm, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets with appropriate safeguards.

Analytics retention follows the customer's selected plan and project configuration. Account, billing, security, and audit records are kept only as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.

Account holders can export available account metadata and permanently delete their account from settings. A confirmed deletion removes the account, owned workspaces, configuration, and associated analytics data through Tracwell's deletion workflow. Deletion cannot be undone. Residual encrypted backups expire according to their normal lifecycle unless longer retention is legally required.

Tracwell uses access controls, encryption, scoped credentials, authenticated infrastructure connections, and audit records to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Information may be processed in countries other than where it was collected. Tracwell and its service providers use applicable safeguards for international processing and transfers.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. Account holders can manage much of this information in the dashboard. Website visitors should first contact the Tracwell customer operating the website or application that collected their data, because that customer controls the collection purpose and configuration.

Tracwell is not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under the age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction. Customers must not knowingly use Tracwell to collect children's personal information without appropriate legal authority.

This policy may be updated as the service or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
